I'm taking metformin and just started statins yesterday but I don't know if I can take cocodamol pain killers. Does anyone know? I've got a banging headache.

put the name of your statin in google search with: codeine phosphate interaction
but I would just take a paracetamol if you are concerned

I take co codamol with metformin and statins but I would check with a chemist if I were you. I need it for arthritis as paracetamol doesn't touch it. For headaches I just take paracetamol.

I take co-codamol when needed and as far as I know there are no problem with either paracetamol or codeine. I've just had an op and the hospital prescribed co-codamol for me at discharge as a painkiller. I take full dose Met but no longer stains but I think you will find they are OK with co-codamol as well; do read the leaflet

I take Atorvastatin and metformin along with co-Codamol with no problems.

We are all different so take first dose and monitor
