Hi All,
you all coping?
I was diagnosed (tho i had an idea already) in November 2008 with Type 2 Diabetes, after loosing 2 stone over a short period of time, and eye sight going blurry and being told to wear glasses by spec's savers (thanks spec savers, good job :? ). was put on metformin and told to take 2 a day as my blood sugar was hovering around 20-25 mmol , felt great the first few weeks huge amounts of energy and feeling generally happy( lasted a few weeks  ), now Feb 2009 my eyesight has gone blurry again and my water intake has gone back to about 8-10 pints a day followed by the usual night time toilet trips, and and more weight loss, only now my memory seems to be going and i forget things.
I started measuring my blood lvl's in December and gave up when i was told the tabs were £25.
couldnt get to the doctor because of xmas and in January work commitments, managed to get an appointment for this friday after taking a days leave, which didnt go down well. but i see things are getting worse, ive never been a big sugar eater dont eat sweets and hate cake.I'm now feeling very depressed and looking around on the internet isnt helping as its all bad news with Diabetes. I must admit i havent taken this disease seriously as my Doc didnt seem too, the usual take 2 a day see u in A & E when u go into a coma..ty for listening..ticked off with T2
