Hi,
Before I go crying to my Dr....since Tuesday my bloods have been sky high, between 13-20 all day long no matter what I eat or how many units I take to bring them down. I was at the dentist yesterday with my wisdom teeth, my gums are swollen quite a bit & the pain is a 'mare, but he's not given me anything for it, says to grin and bare it so I'm taking plenty pain killers. Could it be infection?! I know that plays havoc with my bloods if I'm ill??!! :( And if so I just have to get on with it until it passes right?!

You have mentioned the problem in your post. Any infection, bacterial or viral, will increase your blood glucose. As will any inflammation also. When your readings go up unexpectedly, probably some virus or whatever is trying to gain a foothold.

Do not listen to your dentist, if there is an infection present you will need amoxycillin or whatever to bring matters back under your control. See your gp asap.

All the very, very best
Wills.
