Hayley Lawrence gave a good talk on the importance of dental hygiene. She outlined the consequences of poor dental health leading to gum disease which could lead to serious infections in Diabetics. She mentioned that a good diet and regular careful brushing was necessary for maintaining good teeth and gums. There are suggestions that some types of heart disease may be consequence of poor oral care. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 25 September.
