I was 9yrs old on holiday with my family in ibiza. The docs thought i was dehydrated so gave me litres of sugary water to drink. Well you can imagine how i felt after that!

Type 1 at 23 after 2 months of ignoring the symptoms and insisting I was fine and probably just anaemic again..... Oops!

54, last December. Type 2, obviously had it for a long time before being diagnosed.
