Hyper symptoms?

I am type 2 and, after BAD problems with Metformin, am on glimepiride. A few times recently I have had a, very fast attacking, session for a couple of hours where I feel like collapsing and my vision is a bit.... Unreal! I could be sat watching tv and it is suddenly hard to keep my eyes open and I can,t follow the tv, or general conversation at all. It is Scary!
I checked on the most recent and my bg,s were 8,9, hardly enough to cause these symptoms is it?
I have not been taking care of my diabetes, sort of in denial, so does anybody have any thoughts or advice for me?
Thanks in advance.

Selfish people, arseholes who think they know it all, ignoramuses, chavs and people with no manners. People who play music on the bus or train full blast on their phones.
The advice I offer is to book an appointment asap with your diabetes care nurse/team and get a refresher. Just talking to someone and getting things off your chest and getting answers to your worries and fears is a good way to get something off your chest. That is what they are there for and I'm sure you'll feel relieved and reassured knowing someone cares. I commend you for your honesty about losing your way a bit and this acknowledgement means a bit of encouragement and guidance should see you back on the road to recovery. I hope you make a swift recovery and wish you all the very best. Some people take advantage of this by being boastful and arrogant about their miscontrol and alcohol abuse and wear it as a badge of honour, which is an appalling and truly deplorable act and a terrible example to our younger friends on here. I genuinely wish you all the very best my friend. Please let us know what decision you make and how you get along. Hopefully you'll have positive news.

Good luck!!!

Mart :)

I agree with nomis (simon?),

The self-recognition is key and well done for stepping forward with this. Whatever choice you make, I hope you seek professional medical care.

Negligence can be so harmful, I hope this serves as a reminder to anyone who is feeling jaded or disillusioned, we all feel for you and will help and advise as much as we are able to within our capacity as fellow-sufferers.

All the very best on your journey to recovery and good luck going forwards from here.

Mart :)
