Hi All,
Last Thursday evening I attended an 'IFG Workshop' at my local surgery. I've never heard of those before...
It was quite interesting - in attendance were reps from Weight Watchers and the local walking group.
There were around 55 people there to listen to presentations from the GP's, Weight Watchers (Discounts available) and the local walking group. Everyone was offered a one to one session with a GP, weight and blood pressure taken and all sorts of advice on how to manage and perhaps reverse the condition. A pretty good evening. My latest blood test was up from 5.4 to 6, so I got an ear pounding from the Doc. I'm back to see him for a more detailed kicking next Thursday... I deserve it...
Has anyone else been invited to a similar sort of thing? It's the first time the NHS has been remotely interested in me for years! :lol:
