At the moment I seem to be lurching from one infection to another. I was diagnosed from a urine infection - sugar in my urine and since then I have had a couple of bacterial infections and now I think another urine infection. I have been diagnosed with background retinopathy although only marginal and my eye pressure is 21 so on the edge have to go and be checked when the appointment comes through. I have only had type 2 for about a year and due to blood tests could only have had it for a year before that. I have got my readings down to 4-8 max so pretty good yet my body seems to ignore that and all these ailments seem to occur. I have loads of cramps in my legs and feet and get carpal tunnel symptoms in my hand (pins and needles) sometimes. My question is why hasn't my body registered my sugar levels are down now and stop this . Does it take a long time for your body to readjust again after high sugar levels? I am having a hard time with all these I used to be healthy.
