I post on another forum, and one of the members posted this link - it's him (the 2nd guy) & another long term type 1 diabetic talking about their experiences of the disease over the 67 & 70 years they've had it. It lasts just over an hour, and if you're short on time I'd just listen to the 2nd part from about 30min on, as there's more relevant detail in it. I found it inspiring, and moving - because it feels like there is hope for those of us living with this disease since childhood, that we might live to a healthy old age if we watch our diet, test & keep good control.
