insulin leakage?

When I take my injections and then draw the needle out, I find there is still a drop of insulin at the end of the needle. I leave the needle in for 10 seconds. Even if I leave it for longer, I still get the leakage.

I always wondered - does this mean I am not getting my full dosage? I only take small doses (of novorapid) like 1.5 or 2 units with meals so I wonder if I am actually getting even less than that due to leakage?

thanks

Hi Goji

Its fine if there is a drop at the end of your needle. It only does that to tell you that your insulin pen is working fine and that it can let insulin out of the pen. i get it all the time and iv been fine.
