I'm 21 weeks and had my scan last week - the baby is healthy and normal so far thank god - but i have become very insulin resistant especially in the morning. I have gone from a 1unit novorapid per 10g ratio to a 2.5 units per 10 g ratio for breakfast and still can be too high. In the evening a 1:1 ratio is still ok. Lunchtime is kind of somehwere inbetween. It's hard to know when to change to the different ratios and I feel like I need a degree in maths to work out my dose!

How the hell am I supposed to match my insulin to my food when it can differ so much? If I get the right dose for breakfast I am going hypo before lunch. Also the doc said it will just get worse and spiral up and up and I could be on 100 units a day by the end.

Anyone had any experience of this? I have only just got my head around dafne'ing and now this is like the advanced version!

Don't want to have a massive baby and worried that the high sugar levels will harm him.... :(
