Hello All, Question on bread Here in Ireland a brand called Ormo is available (see link) yourormo.com/dsp_productcategoryDetails.cfm/pageExt/ormoproduct/PCK/3 It is a type of buttermilk/Sodabread , the nutrition info states 17g carb per 100g This seems very low as bread is normally around 50g carb per 100g I am a bit wary as my daughter likes the bread but I could be going to low on the insulin as Based on the nutrition info I would give 66% less insulin than normal bread Any one any ideas ? Thanks Matt
Nutrition Facts for ORMO Wheaten Bread. The link you posted. (Source: Livestrong.com) Serving Size: 40g slice. * Total Fat............... 0.8g * Saturated Fat..........0.2g * Sodium ................360mg * Total Carbohydrate.. 14.8g * Dietary Fiber.......... 2.6g * Sugars ..................0.7g * Protein ................3.4g Therefore if a 40g slice contains 14.8g carbs then divide 14.8 by 40 which gives you carbs per gram.
