Type of diabetes
Type 1
Treatment type
Insulin
I dont know if this has anything to do with diabetes, but I thought i'd share it in case (Im type 1)
My vision is okay not amazing but I don't wear glasses (I'm short-sighted)
My right eye has okay vision, however my left eye has such awful vision, like everything is so blurry when I shut my right eye, and I don't know whether it's something to worry about, or not..?
There is a lot of difference between both eyes, and sometimes I know that eye problems are related to diabetes, can anyone say if they have something like this, or know about this?

Jelaca - I am type 2, have retinopathy but its stable. However my sight in the left eye is much better than the right eye, so yes it is possible for there to be a difference.
Best way is to visit an optician or the eye clinic, just to make sure all is well and to put your mind at ease otherwise you spend all time blinking left and right and wondering and worrying, been there done that myself too many times.

Hope all works out well x

Hi Jelaca,

I'm T2 aswell. I should just go to your optician and get it checked out.

I've got retinopathy and one of my eyes has worse vision then the other, and I was also forever cupping my hand over each eye, but I was told by my specialist that it hasn't anything to do with my retinopathy. It's my actual eyesight, so try not to worry until you get your eyes tested to see. :)
