Had my six-monthly visit to the diabetes clinic today. HBA1C was 6.0 (almost into the fives!), cholesterol was 3.2 (got permission to 'treat myself' a little more often), blood pressure 106/65, 3kg lighter than last time (I'm not sure about this one. I think they may have misread the scales somewhere along the day as I'm pretty sure my weight has remained unchanged. Oh well, every woman likes to hear that they've lost weight!). Saw a new diabetes nurse who was significantly better than the last one. Came out feeling really positive, rather than the usual 'now that was a waste of time, could you not have sent my results to me in the post' feeling!
To top it all off, I managed to win a brand new iPad this afternoon. Definitely a good day
