1. First and foremost: Be nice!
Offensive material or name calling will NOT be tolerated. This is so important, we mention it twice!

2. Information is the opinion of posters - not our view
The Forum is an incredible place with tons of helpful information. However, it's worth remembering that sometimes messages may be misleading or incorrect. Although 99% of members are helpful, there are occasionally some 'bad apples'. Please discuss, debate and have fun - but remember to research before acting on any information.

3. Posting is a privilege - be nice!
Inappropriate posts or issues that take up large site resources or make it a worse place to be may be locked at our discretion - with or without an explanation. There is no dominant Forum orthodoxy, all individuals are treated equally and fairly, and all questions are answered quickly and thoroughly. This is no place for bickering or slander, it is a free and friendly place for help and support. Please will everyone bear this in mind, and think before posting.

4. When it comes to posting:

Come to this Forum with an open mind.
Read the posts, if you don’t agree with something then just ignore it or ask constructive questions. Do not rip it to pieces because it is not your opinion or way of doing things. It is obviously someone else’s way of doing things.
If you find an error then correct it constructively. State your source for this correction so there can be no doubt about it.
If you have questions then ask it on the open Forum. PMs only get you one answer/opinion. On the open Forum there may be more variety.

This Forum is about supporting and learning from each other. Do not start posts that you know will be contentious.
This is a Forum of many different personalities - if you disagree with someone use the PM function or start a constructive debate. Don’t fight it out on the board, it does nobody any good having to read miles of disagreeing posts! Strife helps nobody, it is counter-productive to the Forum and confusing and unhelpful to newbies who need our help.

Remember we do not give medical advice. If you give advice then it is through your own experience or a link to a reputable site external to the Forum.
