I work in the Scottish NHS and I'm spreading the word .

Excellent Jamrox . The advice I have read in the forum's had helped me a lot. In 12 months I have lost 2 stone and my waist size has gone from a 44 inch to a 36 inch. This has been done by changing what I eat, portion control and a 30 minute fast walk every day. Weekends is slower as the kids come with me.
I have been type 2 diabetic for 7 years and the first years my bloods were all over the place. They are now an average of 6.2 mols.
I eat a lot healthier, and I can now keep up with my young children.
I have also a very good diabetic team at my local gp's, which has also helped.

They have certainly helped me to get moving, and were invaluable to me last year to help improve mobility after a very long period of illness.

Haha this all came about because I completed a questionnaire on the Facebook page . Didn't expect to be in the paper but if it helps people then I'm glad to do it .

Thanks Pipp the latest thread is winter Keepy Uppies , keeping our activity level up during the winter when it is so easy to turn into couch potatoes , well it is for me anyway.
