Keeping insulin out of the fridge

For the last few months I haven't owned a fridge, that's not going to change anytime soon either.

Since I was fairly recently diagnosed with type 1 my insulin requirement change making it pretty difficult to spot if the insulin has spoilt.

Do you think the insulin will be fine? Is there much I can do except buy a frio wallet?

Can you not get a cheap mini fridge? They are perfect for storing insulin.

It's my understanding that unrefridgerated insulin is good for about a month (28 days). It's also my understanding that it doesn't necessarily "spoil" it just loses its potency.

Also, a Frio wallet isn't going to help it last any longer. The only thing it will do is prevent it from overheating and losing its potency faster.

Hi. You really do need a fridge; see if you can get a very small one that keeps the insulin below 8 deg C
