I'm a type 2 diabetic but I started taking insulin a few weeks ago because of side effects from metformin.
I had my 16 week appointment today and my urine was positive for protein and ketones. I had just eaten lunch so I don't think it was anything to do with lack of food.
I have an appointment with my diabetic nurse on Wednesday but I thought I'd see if anyone on here has any advice. My sugars have been normal as far as I've seen (not great at remembering to take them! :shh: )
