Depends, are you an insulin dependent type 2?

its only really those who have no insulin of their own who would need to check for ketones during periods of high blood sugar or illness...

otherwise ketones levels are kept down to acceptable levels by the insulin already produced....

i think its definitely worth experiencing the test for sure.....
