Hi Folks,
Have to leave a urine sample into the health centre today for Andrew (t1son) he's poorly today (heavy cold, and feeling miserable) with high bs and 2+ keytones, this i can deal with. What i want to know is would it be acceptable/wise to leave his sample in with such high keytones? Would it affect the result ?
Thanks in advance,
Suzi x

Hi suzi.

Shouldnt really make any difference at all. Just mention it when you deliver it. They can then decide if it needs doing again.

Thanks Cugila,
New you'd be the one to answer, checked sample in at clinic, and got hold of his DN and she said exactly the same thing. Thankfully his keytones are now at a trace, and just had a correctional dose of humalog. I hate it when he's sick, and this is the season when all the germs and bugs are in their element. Hopefully kidney function test will come back ok.
