Lantus pens

I know we all like jumping on Lantus from a great height, but I recall a strange issue from my time with it:

The lower dose pens that max'd out at at about 40 had awful mechanisms that frequently jammed.

The higher dose pens were the best thing since sliced bread, and put most Novo disposable pens to shame.

Thoughts?

Whole-wheat past and rice, tastes horrible. Cats, spiders, and people who think nick jonas is a musician.
I have the high dosage pens.
They've always worked great. The plunger didn't shrink back into the pen and it is a lot smoother than the novorapid.
They look a lot better too.

Personaly never had a problem with it.
