Hi everyone

Going on holiday on Saturday (hurray!!!) but this is first time since diagnosis last August. I have contacted the travel company to say have diabetes etc. etc. but they say I need a letter from the doctor to be able to take testing kit on board plane etc. Is this normal and what do I ask the doctor to put?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards
CJ :)

I have no idea. However, maybe you should just ask your GP as this may be something they have done before for someone else and they know the drill?

Rude people! Not being able to do the things I want to do.
Hi CJ,just explain to your doctor that you need a letter about your medication for travelling and he will know what to write.

It is useful to have it so you can justify having needles etc on board. Once you have it just keep it with your passport. I have such a letter but have never actually been asked for it.
