Just had a discussion on their website and wanted to make sure the info I was given was accurate.

One sensor costs about £48 and lasts 14 days - so I have to buy in bulk or it's costs about £24 a week?

Firstly is that correct?
Secondly are there any options to get via HNS?

Thanks

Hi @Dave46049

That's correct about the price and duration. I don't think there's any way to get a bulk discount, it does look like they sometimes do some free sample scheme, but not right now.
For T1s I believe getting it prescribed is now easy enough across the UK. I had to jump through some hoops to begin with, but that was years ago when it was new and I think they now prescribe them for all T1s.
I believe for T2s they still only prescribe it under certain fairly limited conditions, such as treatment with insulin with frequent hypos or loss of hypo awareness.
See section 1.6.17 here

I know some T2s not on insulin who have self funded a few sensors just to try it and see their patterns over the day and with different food/exercise. Even if you don't carry on using it, just seeing the data for a couple of weeks can be quite a helpful learning experience.
