Hei, am trawling for ideas for how to link my Libre Freestyle 3 to my Novopen Echo plus smart pens. I live in Norway and the health authority supply CGMs and just switched from Libre Freestyle 2 to 3. Was using the Novopens since February with the Libre Freestyle 2.
when I installed the Libre Freestyle 3 app I couldn’t find where to connect the pens. Went to see my lovely diabetic nurse yesterday who told me she was aware of this issue and reported it a year ago and was surprised nothing had been done to fix it.
I gather there is some sort of ‘conflict of interest’ between Abbott, who make the CGM and Novo Nordisk who make the pens.
Maybe ‘conflict of interest’ not the correct expression , more not willing to cough up a huge licence fee or co operate with each other.
Has anybody got a solution for this?
Also went to buy a new phone, or rather have one bought for me as a Christmas present and managed to pick a Samsung Galaxy S24…which I eventually found out is not compatible with the Libre 3! fitted with the wrong kind of NFC reader for the initial scanning of the sensor.
i want a phone that basically does 2 things..take good pictures and run the app for my CGM. The S24 Ultra is fine evidently, but too big and heavy for me take for walks…phone in one pocket, jelly babies in the other!
