How would that even work? Do local pharmacists stock them now? I really don't see how you can send a prescription to Abbott and receive the sensors. Surely that would open itself up to forged prescriptions. Has anyone actually received prescribed sensors. Please let me know what process you went through. I have seen several thread on " I got my script for sensors ", but has anyone actually got them free. Did you have to pay delivery? How long did they take to arrive? How soon do you have to pre-order the sensors to keep you " flow " going so you have no gaps in supply.

Not exactly, because most CCGs will not fund and the bottom line is they don't have the money. I did read that one CCG in Wales (can't remember which one) has given the green light for the Libre sensors to be prescribed.

My local Boots pharmacist told me that they will be able to get them for £35 and that if you go along with a private prescription (in the absence of an NHS prescription), he would still have to charge £47.50 because of Boots policy on markup. You might also have to pay a GP for a private prescription.

I haven't written my letter to Theresa yet, but I feel she should be made aware, especially as she proudly wears her sensor (quite right too). I have also yet to visit small pharmacies which are not part of a large corporate, but I can only think of one within a 30 minute drive. I'd like to thing that different pharmacies have different policies, so I'll be trying the others as well.

I'm tied up decorating at the moment, I'm determined to have "the front room" finished before christmas so I don't have to spend too much time with the MIL, a bolt hole as it were.
