The NHS is rollong out an injection called Saxenda which is a daily injection in a pen for the specific treatment of obesity. This is otherwise known on this site as Liraglutide or Victroza.

Apparently the trials data showed tht the mice and rat experiments for this drug showed a high incidence of thyroid tumours and cancers. It has not been reported in humans that we know of. It is not listed as a possible side effect, but advice from NHS is to report any throat or neck swelling to your GP.
