With the help of the diabetes support team at the Royal Surrey I've managed good control and had acceptable Hba1c levels for many years. That is until the last couple of months. On average my Novorapid doses were 8 units for breakfast, 2 units at lunchtime and 10 units for dinner. Levemir was 7 units morning and evening. Now it's completely unpredictable.
The old Novorapid doses (Libre calculated) see me going too high but if I increase them by one or two sometimes it's not enough and other times I'm having hypos.
Evening doses of Levemir are just as bad. I've upped them to 9 units, sometimes it works and at others this sort of thing happens (see attached image).
I've also found that blood glucose is too high at betdtime, so I've been taking a corrective dose of Novorapid. That again produces random results.
We moved to Gloucestershire 8 months ago. I've been referred to a diabetes clinic and I'm in a holding queue but as yet no sign of an appointment.
Any idea what's going on?
