Hi!
I have been on a Animas pump for about 12 years and have now changed over to an on iPod pump due to Animas withdrawing from the pump market. However, although I am very happy with my new pump, I have an issue which I am finding difficult to rectify. Multiple frothy bubbles ( approx 1/4 inch) in the syringe and also about 1/2 inch in vial. I inject the required amount of air into the vial, draw equal amount of insulin from vial, but lots of froth is also drawn up which after painstakingly flicking the syringe for sometime does not go completely. Some froth I manage to extract but not all. This has never happened to me in the past and I do not know how to solve this. Should I not push any air ( equal to dose of insulin needed)from my syringe into the vial? What can I do to stop this happening each time?
