Low carbers

    Hey everyone just wanted to ask type 1s that low carb what their hbac1 levels is. I eat carbs every day and my latest hbac1 is 6.6 which im well happy about just wondering hiw low it woupd be of I low carbed.

    It took a fair while but I got mine down to just below 5% but I had to eat very low carb to get there.

    My last was 5.9 but I wasn't quite as low-carb as I am now, so hoping for better next time

    I've been at 6.1 for the past year, I was in the mid 7s before I started low carbing. Personally, if I were you, I wouldn't make the switch. A result of 6.6 is a very good result and is at the level that your risk of complications is the same as a non-diabetic.

    I'd say I'm moderate carb, at 100-150g/day.

    Last HbA1c was 40. Not sure what that is in %.

    I will qualify that though with me only being diagnosed 7 months and still being in the honeymoon phase in all likelihood.

    I believe that's about 5.9%, possibly 5.8%
