Hello, Does a lower end C pepetide test always mean type 1 diabetes? Its in range but on lower end, will it keep going lower? Whats your experience and your test result?

A c-peptide test just tells you if you are producing any of your own insulin. It's perfectly possible not to be type 1 but still have no c-peptide because you pancreas has packed up for some other reason (I.e because you are type 2 or 3c). If you are type 1 and honey mooning you could still have c-peptide.

Are you wondering if you might not be type 1? I think a GAD test is better for that - if positive it tells you that you have the antibodies that kill off the beta cells in type 1. But even then, it's not a definitive answer as it is possible for a type 1 to have a negative GAD test.

Sorry, it's not a very helpful answer it is.
