Hate to repeat as I know I've asked questions before so a few might already be familiar with the situation but just incase to save anyone time having to ask. Hubby has Type 2, his BS are usually higher rather than lower. He is on Metformin 500 x 3 every day. He has a bad diet, little exercise, erratic schedule with regards to work, meals and sleeping.
Anyway, he had a relatively good day today with eating. Had 2 slices of granary bread with low sugar jam for breakfast. Tea with no sugar as always. He had a chocolate bar around 11am, some Tizer at 11:30am. And lunch at 12:30pm, he had salad with some spicy prawns thrown in.
Well an hour later and his BG was 4.3, 2 hours later it was 4.1 and at the 3 hour mark was 4.1
This, for him anyway, is most odd as his readings in the day are usually between 8 and 16.
So, few questions - I assume a relatively decent meal lowered them? And is it a bad thing to be that low for that long for that meal? To be honest, he tests irregularly so I don't know if for that meal, that's an unusual reading but for someone, no matter what they seem to eat, who seems to always run high, that was quite a strange few results for him.
