Been diagnosed nearly a week now and my levels have seldom been in single figures. Down to 4.3 just now and feel really shaky and horrible. Sore head. Should I be worried? Just finished driving too, but felt fine until last few minutes.

anything below 4 needs treating with some fast acting glucose like 2 glucotabs.
what you might be experienceing is a false hypo in that because you have been used to having high bg levels now that have dropped considerably you are having feelings of a hypo that are actually false. it takes a while for you adjust to being in the lower safer bg range.
but just to be the safe side test again as you are quite close to being below 4 as some meters are not 100% accurate they can be 1 or 2 mml out.
if you are below 4 have some lucozade or glucotabs and if even if you are not below 4 and still feel ill have a snack.

Gonna be eating in around 20 mins or so anyway, so think I'll be OK. I have a pack of Dextrose that the hospital gave me to take away. I'm struggling to even read this computer screen at the moment.
I know it's supposed to be between 4 and 7 (which it is), but is (for example) 3.9 a huge difference to 4.1?

I know it seems like its not a huge differnce between 3.9 and 4.1 bt its when ity reaches below 4 that is classed as a hypo but as I said some meters are 100% accurate and can be out by a few mml.
ans it sounds to me like you are hypo so please have 2 dextrose tabs and test after about 15 mins.
