At the moment I've started to take a short acting morphine oral solution this seems to raise my levels not sure the best way to correct this as I've upped my lantus from being ill and as I'm not eating much worried about giving too much short acting my ratio for correction at moment seems to be 5 units will bring me down 3ml normally 2 units would take me down that much however having lots of infections at moment means I'm needing a lot more insulin. I've noticed the medication contains a larger quantity of sugar than other medications I have had. Does anyone else need to take extra insulin for medication that has sugar in?

Bullies.
I hope that one of our Type 1 members will be able to shed some light on your current issues. I know that, generally, being ill can effect your BS levels and taking a sugar based medication will be an added complication.

I wish you well and a speedy resolution of your current problems.
