HI
I was wondering what amount of metformin you are taking.
From what you are saying it sounds as if your sugar is dropping too quick (Hypo, low sugars) have you any other systems, eg a cold or any thing.
Take care

Insulin
Hi. It's very unusual for Metformin to reduce sugar levels into hypo territory as it has no effect on the pancreas in increasing insulin output

It's generally accepted that metformin can't cause hypos because of the way they work. They simply stop your liver releasing quite as much glucose into the blood and make your own insulin work a little more effectively. As with any other person, including non diabetics, you can get ordinary low blood sugar episodes if you don't eat and do lots of work
