it seems to be generally accepted that dropping bodyfat helps lower blood sugar levels ?

would it also be true that increasing your lean muscle mass has a benefit too ? does the increased muscle mass enable your body to use more of any sugar present in your blood ? or is there a lot more to it than this ?

it is visceral fat that matters

if you can lose that and still be fat elsewhere then your risks of diabetes and heart disease goes away

lean muscle helps because you can eat more and not put on any fat if you have lean muscle
