New pump info - good news

DSN just emailed me to let me know I'm getting the newly released Medtronic pump when mine runs out of warranty this September. Nice 50th birthday prezzy for me. Happy with this choice even it it wasn't one I made!

Don't know much other than smaller, waterproof, some new options, louder alarm. I wanted a Medtronic pump again as mine has been so reliable. Think there is info about it on their website.

Lol... I needed to make a decision in December, based on mine being out of warranty. Phoned up Medtronic to find out what new features the new Veo would have and they wouldn't tell me a thing. I even read out some roche insight features to see if they'd give me anything but they didn't. Very hard to get info out of them

I cant see what more they could give, apart from a different interface................a 4K AMOLED screen perhaps........

its newer equipment I suppose which will last longer.......

https://www.medtronic-diabetes.co.uk/minimed-system/minimed-640g-insulin-pump this is the newer version, the big thing they have been promoting is the low prediction but I know there are a lot of people who are already not that keen on the low suspend on the current model so not sure how many that will really appeal to! It does look quite a bit different though when the last few models have all been very similar looking!
