Hi everyone,
I have had T1 for 45 years and have developed severe peripheral neuropathy in the hands, I struggle with handling lancets and test strips and wondered if anyone had any helpful recommendations toward easy to use meters and lancet devices.
Any help will be appreciated, thank you.

The meter that Phoenix has linked to is ideal as there's no test strips and the meter uses a cassette instead, the lancer is good too as it uses a multiclix drum that has six lancets pre-installed, if your gp refuses prescribe for the Accu-Chek Mobile make sure to mention the problems that you are experiencing with your hands.

I'm not sure as to what extent your finger dexterity has been affected..?

I have an Accu-Chek mobile & though I highly rate the meter, I'm wondering if the catch system on the back door for loading the cartridges may cause issue, along with the actual packaging the cartridge comes in..??

This "relative" to the mobile which I have also used, loads drums that sticks out the strip at the pull down of the centre button. Then spits it out on a second button pull when the test is done... https://www.accu-chek.co.uk/gb/products/metersystems/compactplusgt.html
The strip drum can be loaded by simply pulling apart & lifting a flap on the lower half front of the meter, then pressing a red button behind the flap to release the spent strip drum.....
 

Thank you Jaylee, I will contact my diabetes team to discuss obtaining the "Compact Plus" system, as this appears to resolve the issues I am currently dealing with.

Thank you noblehead, it appears to me that many of you are suggesting an Accu Chek system and so I will be contacting my diabetes team to discuss this option.

Thank you pheonix for your suggestion, along with most other replies and my own web research, it has been deduced that Accu Chek are about the only company which has given much thought to this problem.

Or if you have one can your diabetes nurse not get you it ?
