Circadian Clock in Pancreas Directly Linked to Diabetes....for the first time, a Northwestern University study has shown the ancient circadian clock regulates the production of insulin. If the clock is faulty, the result is diabetes.

.... it quotes someone observing that "people with diabetes have an increased incidence of mood and other psychiatric disorders" you don't say!

Sorry it's a grim quota for a Sunday... perhaps better news tomorrow...? Story of our lives... 8)

Just reading my way through Professor Satchin Panda’s book, “The Circadian Code” which claims Time Restricted Eating (TRE) and resetting your sleeping patterns in accordance with sunrise and sunset, offers health benefits including improvements in insulin resistance. Finding it fascinating and am now in week 3 of trying it out. Not hard to comply with. Getting my annual check up in 3 weeks so will be interesting to see if my results have been affected. Just thought I’d share this with the Forum.
