Hi all,

Quick question. Went to bed with a. 5.4 took my normal level of levemir, which has been fine for the last few years, woke up with a 15.1, anyone think it was a hypo?? Seems odd if it was the levemir dose

Thanks x

Could well have been. Difficult to say without testing during the night. I don't normally worry about a one off dodgy reading. If it happens again, I'd look to adjust.

Hi,

I thinkNight time hypo is dangerous. If you are on a fixed menu for dinner, check 2-3 nights. If you are taking different foods, check when you change food. If you notice too low BG, reduce insuline units (alternatively, if you are on tight diet and not fatty, you may increase the quantity of food).
In any case, "hypo" is to be treated seriously.

It's a very unusual level for me to wake up with, a few years ago I suffered with night time hypos and changed my basal type. I test 7 times a day so to see that was a bit strange for my usual data. Thanks guys!!
