Hia, I wasn't all that hungry last night so decided on beans on toast (burgen bread), a slice of toast and some greek yoghurt and a nectarine. My BSs were 6 when I sat down but something inside told me not to bolus. Took BSs in 1 hour and they were still at 6.3 and the highest they got to last night was 8.1 without any insulin. If I'd have bolused I would have taken over 3 units so I can only imagine I would have had quite a bad hypo.
The only thing yesterday was my husband and I had been out for lunch and I had a small (yes it was small) glass of champagne. Otherwise I drank water with my lunch. My insulin needs have been increasing with this hot weather so I don't think it's that. Maybe the 1 glass did have that much of a lowering affect? I've had breakfast and bolused as normal so we'll see what happens today and whether there is a huge decrease in basal towards the evening required.
