Is NovoRapid good or its not working well anymore ?

i read in internet that novorapid dosent work anymore

well, i should be going into ketoacidosis any minute now as my pump runs solely on Novorapid..........:)

I don't think what you have heard is real or you may have misunderstood something.....

can you point me/us to the website with a link?

soma of novorapids i buy dosent work so well they were more slow just some of them

If it was a whole cartridge or vial that has been stored at an incorrect temperature I could understand.

However if it is odd injections that don't seem to work as fast then that will be
A) the type of food you have ate
B) incorrect carb counting
C) did any leak from your site when you removed needle
D) did you do anything differently to when they worked well.. Ie sat around doing nothing and didn't work, but was down the gym when they did work
E) your body may need different bolus ratios at different times of day
F) or it could actually be affected by the basal insulins being stronger when they work well or basal wearing off when they don't work.

Just wanted to now beacuse iam nee to diabetes i diagnosed 6 month ago and im 13 years old

Are you on multiple injections or a pump?

i take 4 novorapid 3 a day and before sleeep i take 10 levemir

And what are your blood readings coming in at after meals?

Are you looked after by a consultant and nurse at hospital?

Do you know how to change or adjust your doses or does your hospital/parents help you?

Sorry to ask so many questions.. Do you know how to carb count?

Also, sorry to hear that you were diagnosed 6 months ago...are you managing ok with your friends and family?

Im from Kosovo.I think you dont know Kosovo but in my country doesn't have good doctors for diabetes but my doctor is very good.Yes a know all things needed. And i am managing very well.

Glad to hear that you are managing ok. There are a lot of other reasons to consider other than the insulin. That would be the last thing on my list to consider.

obviously the healthcare system is very different in Kosovo and you may not be completely confident you are getting the right stuff.............

is there any chance the insulin could be defective/out of date etc....

you mentioned some of the stuff you get being slow...........how did you come to that conclusion.........?

:)

No no i was mistaking for novorapid but sometimes i suspect for it

so you occasionally think its not performing............?

its more likely that the variable here is you, or your body should I say.........sometimes what we expect our blood sugars to be just doesn't happen........

the joys of diabetes........;)

any more issues feel free to ask away......

how has your family taken the diagnosis........?

yes thakns.my family take tje diagnosis well and we are managing very well

Novorapid should work fine as long as it's stored and administered correctly, just remember to rotate your inject sites regularly and leave the needle in your skin for 10-12 seconds after injecting, also if possible make sure to use a new needle every-time.
