Unfortunately this organization and any like it will never manage to get traction. The food and pharmaceutical industries will make sure of that. Wheat is a huge export of the US and is the only thing keeping 7 billion people alive today.... nothing will be allowed to hamper its reputation as a nutritious main diet food. The pharmaceuticals live off of ever expanding 'conditions' to feed their drugs too and unless someone with a very loud voice can shout over that choir, they will stand with the food industry to ruin the reputations of honest research. The medical community is to blame itself. In the US it is easy to see the incentives given to the medical profession to diagnose and treat with the newest medicines but here in Britain and countries that have single pay, state managed care, the problem is more insidious. Because the state medical system as no real, pure research arm, it is left to be told what is proper by private research. This research is often conducted by the very people with real conflicts of interest and even more honest research is paid for by the food and drug industry so the research is owned by them.... if it is good (profitable), it is released and if it is bad (for business), it never sees the light of day.....
Changing the way people think, I am afraid, will require people like many on this site to take an interest in high blood pressure, obesity, IBF, high cholesterol and go out to their sites and spread the word. All of this metabolic symptoms many times lead to a diabetic outcome...... We will have to spread the word...
