Had no really bad cravings or what ever trying to stick to a moderately low carb diet....The icecream van [which NEVER comes to our village] drives down the road with all bells blazing and I am a spoilt little kid who will sulk all night because I couldnt have an ice cream!!!!!!!
 
You can make your own ice cream, much nicer, I used raspberries from the garden to make ripple ice cream. Just needs to be out of the freezer for a bit before you can eat it.
 
Awww :) Now is the time for frozen jelly with heavy cream?

Or blended berries with a bit of yoghurt into freezer for 15-20 mins?

Or Greek yoghurt with vanilla and sweetener?

Good luck getting the smile back on your face. :D
 
I have only had one ice-cream since I was diagnosed in April 2010. It was the most artificial-looking substance you have ever seen, in a cone with a chocolate flake stuck in the top :shock: :oops: Quite delicious :D

I tested 2 hours later just to see - 3.5!!! :shock: :shock:

I haven't dared repeat the experiment.

I'm waiting for my "iceappliances icecream pro" machine to arrive from Amazon! No more putting bowls in the freezer the day before as it has it's own compressor etc. I make my own ice cream with fresh raspberries, strawberries, blueberries etc, but should be a lot simpler soon! Sorry, but I get very excited when I'm waiting for a new toy to arrive!! :D

Yeh, I was exactly like that when I ordered mine. I have made so much ice-cream it's untrue! I never ate that much ice-cream before diabetes. I hope you become as obsessed as me :lol:
