The lack of follow up reply is worrying haha. Still with us sugar crush? Or are you just travelling at light speed?

I thought I was bad, 6?! :D Well I can't comment, I had 3 easter eggs last week!

I find them all too sweet & sickly and one would be enough, but each to their own......

Feel sick just thinking about it. Unless you mean six of the mini ones i dread to think of the size of the insulin dose you needed to cover that. Must admit that I do like cream eggs but the amount of insulin needed is not worth it unless I really NEED to have one.

Ouch. That would be about 23 units for me, following by a bad head and a severe hypo later on haha

Would you always have a hypo?

What if they were part of a main meal........?

being high in fat you would expect the absorption of glucose from the eggs to maybe be delayed or slower than other foods, which could result in a hypo earlier, then a high later....

My 6 year old diabetic daughter had her first creme egg recently. Although I included it as part of her mealtime insulin dose (it was pudding!) she went LOOPY!

I have never seen her so hyper!
She seemed happy enough though ;)

Still, an experience I won't be repeating for a long while. Good job Easter only comes once a year!

Agreed! If people want to gorge on junk then that's their business obviously but to post it on a Diabetes health forum in a proud way is not on-I remember being newly diagnosed and really struggling with my readings despite eating what my nurse had told me and feeling very depressed and a post like the OP's which made light of gorging on junk and being proud would have tipped me over the edge at the time.

But to be so proud about it?-A confession is good but this sounded like a boast to me! It could make it sound like it's cool to do that-some newbies are stressed about their control already-this could make someone think "To hell with it-that's fine by them and they're happy to do it-I'll do the same!"

Rude people !
I wonder whether this was intended just to get a reaction ? Bit like posting on AA forum that you've just drunk a bottle of Scotch ! Odd
