people who think nothing is wrong with you because they do not see blood or a plaster cast, i suffer with arthritis & use a zimmer & wheelchair but because they cant see anything wrong people assume nothing is wrong with you.
Sorry not been on a while but went on holiday to Brighton to see my sister we arrived 12-30pm by 5-30pm I am been admitted to Sussex county hospital with cellulitis from having a toe infection which was put through the MRI machine & found I had osteomilitus which is infection in the bone I am on weeks & weeks of antibiotics.also they took me off humalin1 pen I am now on lanctus insulin 18mg every 24 hours, nova rapid 4 units before each meal.they have stopped methratextrate & folic acid, metformin sr tablet for now.
Is there anybody out there that as it or had it.
District nurse keeps coming to change dressing now got blood blister on right foot does not want me to drive at moment in case it bursts. My infection in the bone started with a blister on top of big toe.

You poor thing!
I can't help but I'm sure someone here can.
Get well soon and I hope it works out good for you.

I would ask your gp to refer you to a specialist clinic like the one a Kings College Hsptl, there was a thread on here about osteomyelitis and Charcot Foot that had a link in it, sorry can't find it.

Thank you all for your replies & thoughts.xxxx

Hi destiny0321

I had osteomyelitis in my heel bone and it did take well over 12 months for it to clear. I was in hospital on IV antibiotics for months on end to try to get the infection under control. It is a long drawn out process and required numerous combinations of antibiotics to eventually get it to mend.

I hope your treatment works well for you and starts to heal the infected bone. Good luck, it is a horrid thing to deal with.

But apparently it can come back again after all the treatment
