Melgar, it’s actually easy. Ask for a fasting insulin and fasting glucose (I had zero issues getting these tests) and use the formula in this link. Just remember to adjust the units from Canadian to American (lots of online calculators)Getting a HOMA-IR test here in Canada would take some doing.
I did the calculation and my HOMA IR was 1.1. Definitely not insulin resistant (my insulin was very low but still normal)
