Pancreas problem

In april 2011 i was diagnosed with type2 diabetes, and started to lose weight rapidly, from 14st to 11st uptill today.
My GP sent me to my local hospital for tests, which were ultrasound scan on my stomach,a camera down my gullet, and several blood tests which all came back negative.
Then the hospital doctor sent me for a MRI scan and showed a sizeable lump on the Pancreas, and had a Biopsy on it last thursday and awaiting results.
Has anyone come across a problem like this.
I am taking Metaformin 2 tablets twice a day, and my age is 71yrs old

Hi Jimbo,
Sorry to hear your story, I am a type 1 diabetic and haven't much knowledge on this, but i wanted to wish you well, be positive if possible. I hope they tested your thyroid as well.
How are your sugars running as i'm sure you must feel a little stressed, but listen we are hear if you need to let off steam, as talking to others takes it off your shoulders, and being out siders we can be sounding boards.
Keep your chin up. Please keep us updated so we know you are well (only if you want to).
Take care
Tracey
