Pens - Consistent?

I wonder if any of you have wondered if the potency of the insulin delivered by each pen is consistent?? I'm a Type 1 and squirt myself at bedtime, at present 16 units, and also take slow release Metformin and Gliclazide. I eat at much the same time in the evening and rarely have anything sugary. And yet my morning blood sugar seems to vary to some degree according to my usage of individual pens of Humulin1. For instance, with my last pen, I was often see 8 or more in the morning; with current one it's mainly been below 6.

Any thoughts, anybody?

I totally agree. It must be that that the insulin is produced in limited batches.
I went for a few weeks of the best and easiest control id experienced since pre teens. It was probably just some dodgy novorapid.
Having said that, there are many other factors that can affect your levels over a number of hours. Even the amount of water you drink can affect absorbtion.
