being woken up early :(
I have been having pain and cramps and weak arms and legs for the last few days. Along with trouble breathing (unable to get a breathe sometimes) I've been in hospital but they only found out I've got an abnormal ventricular problem. I'm only 19 and been diabetic 4 months. What is going on? I am so worried about it. I fainted twice and I have lost sensations in my toes and my ankles. Thank you In advance xx

We can't really diagnose you but it sound like you should be back in hospital with those symptoms. What have your sugars been like lately? It could be that you are dehydrated or your electrolytes are out of balance if they have been high.

I've been all over the place with my glucose. I've told the hospital all these symptoms and they dismissed them all. I went back twice in one night because I just couldn't feel my legs or arms atall. Im having nausea and jaw pain too. My hospital is rubbish unfortunately. Xx

Could you try a different hospital (I see you're in London?) I have a choice of 3 near here

I went to a different one yesterday and they gave me a chest X-ray because I've recently had pneumonia, my glucose was high (16.5). And my ECG was erratic. They then said I had acid reflux and gave me gaviscon but no answer to my arms and legs. I can't even walk far without feeling the need to sit because my Ankles give away :(

My ketones are 0.02. They were high the other day but I managed to get it down with eye watering amounts of insulin. I can't sleep because of the pain I'm in. I can't take sleeping tablets incase of a hypo :( xx

Well, I would be making a nuisance of myself. If I had breathing trouble I would call 999 and have paramedics check me over. Sounds like you might have arrhythmia or something. Fobbing you off with indigestion is ridiculous.

I've had paramedics here and they left me on my sofa unable to breathe and called it a 'panic attack'. I am so disgusted at the healthcare system. It's shocking how we are treated. I can't even touch my arms or my legs because their so sore xx

Yeah - I was accused twice of having panic attacks after calling 999 for chest tightness. Third time I asked to go to a different hospital and they found I had blocked heart arteries which eventually led to heart bypass. I had to make a real nuisance of myself to get properly checked.

It's shocking! I was called pathetic by one doctor the other day because he said it was a panic attack. This breathing problem came suddenly for no reason and it's been 11days. This is not a panic attack oh and I forgot to mention they tried to say I'm asthmatic. It's so easy to slap a label on you and send you home with an inhaler and that jazz. I'm going to go to my doctor tomorrow because I just can't cope anymore. I feel like I'm being denied adequate care xx

Well, I hope your doctor is more sympathetic and gets the proper checks for you. Not sure I can think of anything else to try for now. But I'm sure this is all a knock on from you recent pneumonia and hi BGs and it's affecting your heart by the sounds of it.

I hope tomorrow I will be sent for proper tests and get it sorted on e and for all. I've had 12 hours sleep in a period of a week. I'm exhausted and just lost appetite In my food. I've lost weight again about 6lbs in one week. I have these palpitations that come and when that happens I am so sweaty and clammy. Xx

Are you keeping your fluids up? A bowl of broth might help to keep things in balance if you're not eating

A good rehydration formula is 1 teaspoon sugar and a pinch of salt in a glass of water (should be no more salty that tears).

If I was in the uk and without health insurance and getting fobbed off. I would see a private specialist for an opinion/ diagnosis and pay out of my pocket, free isn't always better
