Did anyone have monthly hba1c done before conception?

Yes I have monthly appointments with my diabetic nurse all with hba1, Its so important to have it right before conception

I just read this in the new jdrf toolkit, didn't get offered this with my first, wish I had known it happens, maybe my hospital don't do it but definitely going to ask!! Planning number in the near future but still need to get a few % of my hba1c first

During pre conception I had my hbac1 blood test every 12 weeks - I was told this is how long it takes to get a different result x

I'm in Canada so I know things are a bit different here, but mine was 3-4 months, but I was already pretty close to the range they wanted.
